Dr Tanase is a consultant psychiatrist with more than 10 years’ experience working in mental health.

He has a particular interest in treating ADHD, mood and anxiety disorders, as well as psychotic disorders using a combination of psychological approaches and medication.

Dr Tanase trained as a psychiatrist in the Northern Sydney Local Health District, working across several hospitals during his training including Hornsby Hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital, Macquarie Hospital, Ryde Hospital and Wyong Hospital. He is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) and a member of the Australian ADHD Professionals Association (AADPA).

Throughout his career Dr Tanase has been involved in teaching and examining medical students coming from the University of Sydney. He is an accredited supervisor for RANZCP trainees. In addition to his private practice at The Hills Clinic, he also works as a Visiting Medical Officer at Nepean Hospital, and used to work at St John of God and as a Staff Specialist at Macquarie Hospital. He has trained in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation therapy (TMS).

 

Dr Tiberiu Sebastian Tanase is now offering online telehealth consultations for both new and existing patients.

Appointments are available during the week, as well as after-hours and on Saturdays.
