EPIC (Empowering Parents In Crisis) EPIC (Empowering Parents In Crisis) is a NFP Organisation led by parents with lived experience of teens in crisis. EPIC was founded in 2021 as a result of the isolation and powerlessness experienced when parents and carers were faced with young people facing mental health challenges including ADHD or choosing challenging behaviours. EPIC is a safe, non-judgmental community building support platform offering peer-peer support, education and sharing through an inclusive cultural lens. EPIC acknowledges that it is a frightening, lonely and very worrying period for parents/carers and families when their child is facing challenges. Our team seeks to support community recovery and capacity building for parents/carers and families of young people by providing a supportive community that is focused on well being and connectedness.

From Here to Next Emmalee Pepar I am a parent of a now 18y/o son with ADHD. I used EFT Tapping to help me cope with the challenges of parenting an ADHD child and also with him directly. It is an excellent tool for regulation and calming the Nervous system. I am now a qualified EFT Tapping practitioner and one of my areas of practice is helping parents process their experience of parenting a child with ADHD, and also working with the kids themselves to give them some tools to help them calm themselves, sleep more easily and process the challenges of being different.

Innately Me Lisa Formosa A Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology and Social Statistics) has provided a broad framework of knowledge to understand the complex and diverse kaleidoscope of human development, motivation and experience. As a lifelong learner I am always undertaking various forms of inquiry and study. Also I am an Affiliate member of the Australian Psychological Society and Australian ADHD Professionals Association. Autism, ADHD, neurodivergence, introversion and high sensitivity are all aspects of both my own and families’ lived experience. Renee Mauger Parent Coach My name is Renée Mauger and I am an AhaParenting Certified Peaceful Parent Coach and Educator. I have completed the MAPP (Masters of Applied Positive Psychology), a certificate in counselling, and an undergraduate degree in psychology. I am a certified yoga and meditation teacher, and I was formerly a lawyer. I have also been a stay-at-home peaceful parent for many years. I bring all these qualifications and experiences to my coaching, providing you with a professional and goal-oriented, yet supportive and compassionate parent coaching experience. While I am trained to assist with most parenting challenges, there are certain areas in which I have extra training and experience, including ADHD. I have a special academic interest in helping families with their spirited kids, or children with suspected or diagnosed ADHD. While many resources exist for parents of kids with ADHD, frustratingly most of these prescribe behaviourist discipline techniques which are not supported by the latest research and neuroscience. I can help parents to practise science-backed authoritative parenting with their neurodivergent children and I can recommend practical, supportive resources. For my Master’s degree thesis, I researched how the principles of positive psychology (many components of peaceful parenting) can...

The Functional Family Sharon is an ADHD coach who is passionate about helping people with ADHD have functional and fun lives. Sharon uses her lived experience, 13 years of research and formal training at ADDCA to help and support those living with ADHD. She had listened to her husband's trauma filled stories about growing up misunderstood with ADHD and didn't want her little boy to have the same experience.  She began researching and studying ADHD and developing systems and strategies to work with the ADHD brain. She realised that she could change the environment around her family to work with everyone's strengths. She loves anything that makes life with ADHD easier! Sharon's company, The Functional Family, has assisted over 35,000 families and individuals with ADHD. The Functional Family offers: - one on one ADHD coaching; - parent mentoring; - a blog full of free tools and insights; - a large free online support group; - the ADHD Families Podcast; - a low cost monthly membership; and - a 6 week online program, ADHD and Families.
