2eHub Anne Jackson I have been counselling and advocating for and with the twice-exceptional young person for many years. These are young people who are gifted as defined by Gagne’s model of talent development but who also carry an identified disability. Currently I am completing my Doctor of Cognitive Neurodiversity and have been fortunate enough to specialise in the student who carries giftedness and ADHD in the same body. To engage with these wonderfully complex young people I use a combination of Narrative Therapy and ACT as the gifted student is highly likely to bamboozle a counsellor who uses a more directive modality. Such young people may become engaged in a verbal debate over all the reasons that change cannot happen or that change requires others to do something but not them. The result is that many twice-exceptional students will fail to achieve their potential and or become involved in risky strategies to deal with their distress. My passion is to engage such young people on a journey whereby they can become the author of their life story. Being gifted yet disabled is an oxymoron that doesn’t have to be a disaster.

Innately Me Lisa Formosa A Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology and Social Statistics) has provided a broad framework of knowledge to understand the complex and diverse kaleidoscope of human development, motivation and experience. As a lifelong learner I am always undertaking various forms of inquiry and study. Also I am an Affiliate member of the Australian Psychological Society and Australian ADHD Professionals Association. Autism, ADHD, neurodivergence, introversion and high sensitivity are all aspects of both my own and families’ lived experience. I have a clear understanding of how each individual has their own unique experience that needs to seen, felt and heard. No two people are the same irregardless of the identity, label or diagnosis, so each need to be attuned and supported in their own unique way.

Metamorphosis Coaches Mentoring for parents of students with ADHD Hi, I’m Jahida, a Female Youth Mentor and Personal Development Coach. I am also the Founder and CEO of Metamorphosis Coaching, a school teacher, mother, a certified life coach and a woman devoted to personal development. Growing up, I was an ambitious, teenage girl but I felt there were many cultural barriers limiting me from pursuing my dreams. Since meeting my husband Faz, I challenged the traditional cultural beliefs and stereotypes that a Muslim woman is not capable of having a successful career while being married, staying true to her principles, faith and committed to raising a family. I wore my hijab at the age of 13 in a time where racism in AU was at it’s peak and the September 11 attacks magnified the traumatic effects of Islamophobia. I faced many challenges as a teenager with my identity, feeling like I didn’t belong in this country, I tackled bullying in a school where I was the only scarfed girl and had to form new friendships every couple of years as I moved from school to school. I am very grateful for the two mentors (my father and math's teacher) that...
Paths With Purpose Karise McNamee I provide mental health counselling for ADHD and AuDHD women experiencing challenges with emotional regulation, burnout, relationships and communication, and workplace issues. I will provide you with a safe space to express your feelings and frustrations about things that are impacting your life, and teach you strategies to feel more in control of your changing emotions and behaviors. I will work with you to help you to feel balanced and better able to cope with these impacts, despite sometimes feeling like your body is the one in control. I have particular expertise in helping women to manage the impacts of perimenopause, PMDD, and the menstrual cycle on ADHD, and women who have been diagnosed in adulthood. I am neurodivergent myself, therefore my own lived experience means that I truly understand how this can impact so many areas of your life, and how challenging it can be to manage it alongside the other demands of daily life. I offer flexible online and face-to-face sessions to women all across Australia, no matter where you live. I understand and I am here to help you!
