I have been working with people with ADHD since 2002. I am a qualified teacher with ADHD and have 2 children also diagnosed. My staff and I work one-on-one, as groups do not work well for ADHD. We use a multisensory approach and enhance the use of logic rather than memory. We remediate and test on national benchmarks to be sure of improvement. We assist children to gain mastery over their learning. The flow on is self confidence, social skills, building relationships, insight into their own ability. We create a safe environment for them to learn and a place where they are valued.  Neurofeedback: This has been shown to help ADHD and there is a lot of scientific evidence of its efficacy (See Efficacy of Neurofeedback Treatment in ADHD: the Effects on ... Arns, Martijn et al, Clinical EEG and Neuroscience; Jul 2009; 40, 3; ProQuest Central pg. 180). I have been doing Neurofeedback since 2007 and was further trained by Dr. Ed Hamlin in The States in 2014. The Time Out Centre Inc. has helped hundreds of children over the past twenty years gain a mastery of their ADHD and realise that this is an ability, not a disability! ...

Maths Online Each of the 1,400+ MathsOnline tutorials last around 4-9 minutes and present the concepts of the maths lesson step-by-step. Using synchronised audio and animation which harnesses both audio and visual learning styles simultaneously. MathsOnline lessons can be studied at home or at school and all devices. Obviously no one can force a young person to study maths, but what we have done here is to provide materials that are interesting and stimulating in themselves, and which will encourage the student, once started, to continue studying. Following each maths tutorial there are interactive questions or an optional printable worksheet which tests the understanding of key concepts. Answers are entered into MathsOnline automated marking system which then stores the results in each individual student's ongoing progress report. This brings in the third learning style - Kinaesthetic, which is the process of actually doing the maths yourself. A printable one page summary of each tutorial provides the student with concise and complete notes from the maths tutorial. Ideal as a reminder for homework, revision and review. After answers have been submitted, printable fully worked solutions become available showing every step which should be taken to reach the correct answer, just as it should be done in a maths...

Sharon Bramble is an educational consultant and the creator of ALERT Learning – a patented multi-sensory, learning system for educators, parents and students. Sharon began her career in education in 1997 when she established a learning centre in the Southern Highlands at which she tutored more than a thousand students of all ages and abilities. She developed a unique method of teaching which earned her a reputation as a remedial specialist working with children and adults with complex diagnoses and co-morbidities, including dyslexia, ADHD, dysgraphia and autism. In 2007, Sharon was approached by the principal of a primary school in south-west Sydney to train his staff in her unique methodology, for which she now holds an Australian patent. Before long, numerous primary schools were running the program and the Education Minister along with local MPs visited as NAPLAN results were the highest in the school’s history. In 2010, Sharon was invited to run a five-year trial at a Western Sydney high school during which she trained teachers across all subject areas.   I use maths interview assessments to identify specific learning gaps in numeracy. This is not a pen/pencil assessment. It involved manipulation of concrete materials and verbal interview questions. For literacy, I assess for alphabet code knowledge, phonemic awareness skills of blending, segmenting and manipulating sounds. Also I assess for comprehension skills using standardised reading tools.   I cater for each student's unique needs in literacy and/or numeracy. After an initial assessment, lessons are created to target specific gaps/ strengths/ challenges that have been identified for the individual. A One Note document is created for each student. Parents/ caregivers may then share this with other professionals involved in the student's learning. Each One Note is a document of planning and formative weekly assessment/ portfolio of work covered. NB-Face to face and Zoom sessions available.   If you are having your child formally assessed to determine a diagnosis, you may need assistance with questionnaire completion from your child's educator. This may be a range if individuals. Many homeschoolers see me for 2 sessions a week and manage the program independently between sessions. In this case you may require my input for initial paperwork. Price will be based on my time per...
