I have been working with people with ADHD since 2002. I am a qualified teacher with ADHD and have 2 children also diagnosed. My staff and I work one-on-one, as groups do not work well for ADHD. We use a multisensory approach and enhance the use of logic rather than memory. We remediate and test on national benchmarks to be sure of improvement. We assist children to gain mastery over their learning. The flow on is self confidence, social skills, building relationships, insight into their own ability. We create a safe environment for them to learn and a place where they are valued.  Neurofeedback: This has been shown to help ADHD and there is a lot of scientific evidence of its efficacy (See Efficacy of Neurofeedback Treatment in ADHD: the Effects on ... Arns, Martijn et al, Clinical EEG and Neuroscience; Jul 2009; 40, 3; ProQuest Central pg. 180). I have been doing Neurofeedback since 2007 and was further trained by Dr. Ed Hamlin in The States in 2014. The Time Out Centre Inc. has helped hundreds of children over the past twenty years gain a mastery of their ADHD and realise that this is an ability, not a disability! ...

Psychologists: Susanne Mechtersheimer Amanda Goh Sarah Mercer Joanne Berriman About neuroCare neuroCare Clinics offer evidence-based mental health programs helping children and adults overcome emotional, learning and behavioural disorders without the need for medications and its associated side-effects. Protocols adopted in our clinics are scientifically-proven, non-invasive and can offer sustainable and holistic benefit, stepping away from a “one-size-fits-all” approach to mental health. Our neuromodulation programs are calibrated using the highest quality technologies, taking these personalised insights into account. All programs combined psychotherapy with a dedicated Psychologist or Psychiatrist, with studies showing the long-term benefit of integrating personalised, one-on-one support throughout the patient journey. neuroCare programs seek to unlock the underlying cause of the condition, rather than managing symptoms as presented. Our highly trained therapists take a closer look at the brain’s activity using Quantitative EEG (QEEG) enabling us to assess a person’s symptoms at a neurophysiological level. We recognise the importance of sleep in mental health and draw upon a number of other tools to observe the role it plays in a child or adult’s mental wellbeing. neuroCare’s assessment and therapy methods have been tested and developed over 18 years with a dedicated team of researchers in Europe continuing to support our clinical teams...

Ninette Nell - Neuro-Educational Therapist/Counsellor - Optimal Therapy Services Natural treatment for individuals with ADHD and Anxiety.  Reduces symptoms without the use of medication. Neurofeedback works by training the brain to better self-regulate, or balance its own chemical levels. Gradually the brain responds to the cues that are being given, and 'learning' of a new brain rhythm takes place. Once the brain learns this balance and flexibility, it applies this skill to its overall functioning and continues to process information in an efficient manner, improving, or eliminating symptoms, resulting in increased energy and functioning, physiological balance, and optimal performance. Neurofeedback Therapy use specific games/brain exercises that create and/or strengthen neural pathways in the brain. The brain’s neuroplasticity makes long-lasting connections possible to increase the strengthening process. Improvement can be seen in less than ten sessions, but may not fully remediate until 20 to 30 sessions. Individual results depend upon the type of disorder, severity of symptoms, and duration of the problem. The initial assessment is approximately 1 hour. Sessions are 30-60 minutes depending on individual situations. The more frequently the client trains, the quicker and more lasting the results. Learning is consolidated by the brain, the more you practice. A...

The Perth Brain Centre (est. in 2007) is Western Australia’s longest established private clinic with a special interest in state-of-the-art brain therapies. The Perth Brain Centre has been helping people with ADHD & Learning Disorders and other problems such as Anxiety, Autism, Chronic Pain and Migraine, Depression, Memory Problems and Performance for more than a decade. In the past, treatment for ADHD was usually limited to medication.  However, now it is generally accepted that treatment should be patient-centred and involve a range of interventions.  There is no “one size fits all” approach, and at The Perth Brain Centre we believe that everyone should be able to make an informed choice based upon the range of treatments now available. Everyone is different and The Perth Brain Centre uses special brain scans, known as QEEG, to help understand how an individual’s brain is working.  This information can help to predict response to medication but can also be used to help direct Neurofeedback Therapy.  Neurofeedback Therapy is a drug-free and evidence-based treatment for ADHD that helps by “re-training” or “re-wiring” the brain, harnessing its natural power to change known as neuroplasticity. For more information about how Neurofeedback Therapy can help ADHD see: https://www.adhdsupportaustralia.com.au/how-does-neurofeedback-therapy-for-adhd-work The Perth Brain Centre has...
