Simon da Roza – Creating Effective IEPs

The Talk will focus on three areas:

*  How to get an IEP on the table

*  What should be in an IEP?

*  How I describe and explain ADHD to children?

With over 30 years of educational experience, teaching, leading and inspiring children, colleagues and parents to embrace a life-long journey of learning, Simon has taught across NSW from Wilcannia to Sydney and up through the Northern Tablelands, Gilgai, Wytaliba and the far north in Mungindi to Mudgee, Gulgong and Coffs Harbour.

Simon has established himself as an acclaimed and much-loved expert in his field, running dynamic workshops for parents, teachers and professionals for over two decades. Specialising in behaviour change, anxiety, ASD ADHD, Early Literacy and Growth Mindset, he shares his stories of success, experiences and failures in a warm and engaging manner.  His expert theoretical knowledge and practical workshops are jam-packed with tips, tricks, strategies and resources to support you and your child.

His passion for education and insight into the minds of children, how they learn and why they do the things they do, will help you understand how to help your children be the very best they can be.

He offers unique insights into the challenges of the classroom and offers idea on how to build positive relationships with teachers and schools so that the learning of children is maximised.

Simon has recently embarked upon his own successful Educational Consultancy in Killarney Heights – Exceptional Learners.

His reputation across the northern suburbs and beaches is growing quickly and demand for his services has already resulted in a waiting list.  He works with individual children and young adults and advocates and supports families.

Simon’s latest project is to partner with the NSW Department of Education’s Disability Innovation Team and Mimosa Public School in a pilot project to become the first recognised neuro-inclusive school in NSW.
