I’m passionate about supporting individuals to reach and maintain recovery in the community through hope, autonomy, empowerment, and advocacy. I’m particularly interested in how the body and brain connect, and how our body communicates to us about the past and present through somatic symptoms. I utilise art, play, somatic, and talk based therapies to support children, youth, and adults achieve their goals and create lasting changes within their lives. In a session with me you can expect a safe, warm, and supportive environment where your goals and plans for therapy are the main focus. As we journey together I gently facilitate your exploration of past and present events with safety by maintaining current evidence based practice standards and a trauma informed approach. I recognise the important and significant impact culture has on identity and support individuals from diverse backgrounds. I respect and welcome individuals of diverse sexual orientations, gender identities/expressions, and sexual characteristics, and am an LGBTQIA+ ally. I am a disability ally and welcome and support diverse abilities within my practice.
